We are moving full swing now into the transition of pastors between myself and Bill Wiggs. I have appreciated the conversations, good will, and cooperation of Bill from the very beginning of our transition work together. He is eager to help all of you feel both a sense of continuity as well as a fresh start. Working with him has been one of the best experiences I have ever had in a transition. I am very eager and hopeful for all of you.
The newest change in the church is our new website. It is functional right now—but still under construction. YOUR FEEDBACK IS ESSENTIAL. Please help Kat and Pastor Bill catch anything that needs to be changed.
The primary features of the new website include:
- Access to the church calendar—you can click the calendar link at the top and see the same calendar we see in the church office. If you want to add anything to it, please contact Kat. What you see on the website will include everything happening at the church—up to the minute.
- Access to church information. Click the information link at the top menu and you will get lists off the current officers, the budget, the building policy, photos of church leaders, a link to the annual conference website, etc.
- An activities page—featuring all the programs and groups in the church. THIS PAGE IS STILL UNDER CONSTRUCTION—AND KAT NEEDS YOU TO BE SURE YOU HAVE SENT HER THE LATEST INFORMATION ABOUT YOUR SMALL GROUP OR PROGRAM.
- There will be an archives page (still under construction) that contains the church’s history and links to past newsletters.
- A HOME page that will have all the latest news—up to date.
The old website is now defunct, so the old URL no longer works. You can access our new site at: www.umcsullivanil.org Please check it out and let help us iron out the mistakes (which always occur at first) and make this a centerpiece for improving communication in our church.
